In Living Color

Hey web world, long time no blog, sorry about that but I’ve been super duper busy at Dayton web design studio Atomic Interactive (see 2+ month old blog below). I just wanted to post a quick blog about my two favorite color resources, both found absolutely free on the web.

The first of which is an old classic that I’m sure you’ve heard of, Kuler. This Adobe supported tool if full of color schemes and themes uploaded by adobe users. Simply type in a word, color or emotion that matches the feel of your print/web design project. For example, the theme below is what I received when I typed in octopus, not bad.

The second is a newly discovered tool called Color Scheme Designer. This in-depth color tool will give you multiple complementary pigments to whichever color you choose. CSD has a plethora of options and different presets that make this tool a must bookmark.

In other news, all you rocking web designers out there should be excited for the new (and free!) sitemap generator web app, Slick Plan, developed by Atomic Interactive and launching later this month. Also check out some of my logos on my Logo Pond profile. Thanks everyone, talk to you soon.

The Continuing Story Of Anthony Wartinger

Well after 7 months of being an intern at Atomic Interactive (a Dayton, Ohio Web Design studio) I am officially part of the team. I join the ranks of some very talented people,

  • The king of foosball, Ian Lawson
  • The site selling machine Ryan McCoy
  • Web Designer/Programmer extraordinaire Alexis Branham
  • Web Developing Prodigy Eric (The Great) Ditmer
  • Everyone’s favorite PM Denise Armentrout

I’m really excited about this opportunity and I feel truly blessed that my first job out of school is with such a cool crew. I do plan on continuing freelance on the side so if anyone has any opportunities please contact me via email, if you need to see some samples of my work feel free to visit my site. Thanks again to all those that have helped and supported me on my journey.

Dress Rehearsal

Hey everyone/anyone that wants to listen to me. I guess I’ll start my inaugural blog by introducing myself. My name is Anthony Wartinger and I’m an up and coming graphic designer from Dayton Ohio. I’m currently in portfolio at the school of advertising art and I will be graduating in late may. I won’t include any art in this first post but expect updates soon and often.

Until then feel free to follow me on twitter, be my friend on facebook or see some of my art on deviantArt.
